Hiring Process

We’re hiring full-time software engineers and summer ‘19 interns in our NYC and VA offices. We’ll go over the process at our info sessions, but it’s also here in case you forget anything.

Full-time candidates have two rounds of interviews. The first round is a technical interview, given as either a phone screen or as an on-campus interview. There’s no difference between the two, other than one being on the phone and the other being face-to-face.

If you pass, we’ll bring you to NYC or VA for a day of interviews. While you’re here, we’ll give you a tour of the office and let you meet with some of the people on the team.


Interns also have two rounds of interviews. The first round format is the same for full-time and internships; you’ll be given a technical interview as either a phone screen or as an on-campus interview.

The second round is another technical interview, given as a phone screen. This is more or less exactly the same as the first round.

Our HR team works pretty quickly; you should typically expect to hear back from us within a week. If we think you’ll be a good fit at Yext then we’ll make you an offer!
